  • Cilantro and coriander are two herbs in one. Cilantro refers to the leaves and coriander is the seeds. Both are very healthful, they soothe digestion and control infection. Weak coriander tea may be given to children under two for colic.   • To combat cancer, eat carrots or spinach daily. These foods contain 4,000 international units of betacarotene. Retinoic acid, which the body manufactures from carotenes, (chemicals in some fruits and vegetables), can block the uncontrolled cell division that leads to cancer. - Researchers at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
  • Male smokers ages 50 to 60 who took 50 international units of vitamin E daily for five to eight years were 32 percent less likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer during those five to eight years than those who didn't take the vitamin. - Study conducted by the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD and the National Public Health institute of Finland.
  • Consume dried mushrooms, including wood ears and shiitakes, by mixing in hot water to make a rich broth.
